Working with experts from the Heidelberg University, Germany

On the morning of May 20, 2019, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) had a meeting with Dr. Tobias Matusch - Executive Director of UNESCO Center, Heidelberg University, Germany.

Attending the meeting was Asso.Prof. Hoang Van Sam - Director of International Cooperation Division, Asso.Prof.  Le Xuan Phuong - Vice Director of International Cooperation Division, Asso.Prof.  Dong Thanh Hai - Director of Graduate Study Division, Dr.  Tran Viet Ha - Vice Dean of Faculty of Forestry, Dr.  Nguyen Ba Long - Director of Institute of Land Management and Rural Development; Dr. Harald Kirsch -  GIZ expert, Dr. Tomas Zuklin - The Czech Republic expert  is working at the University.

At the meeting, Dr. Tobias Matusch  gave an overview of training programs, research and strengths of Heidelberg University, Germany, especially the priority programs of the UNESCO Center which they can cooperate with VNUF. Some professional areas are remote sensing, surveying, forest resource management, environment, ecosystem services, land management.

Dr. Tobias Matusch also introduced the Erasmus project that the University of Heidelberg cooperated with the VNUF was submitted to the European Commission for the establishment of a Remote Sensing and Environmental Management Center at the VNUF.

Asso.Prof. Hoang Van Sam would like to thank Dr. Tobias Matusch has made important contributions in two years working at the University and hoped that with the new position, Dr. Tobias Matusch will continue to support and cooperate VNUF effectively.
