The meeting also had Prof.Dr. Somsy Gnophanxay - president of NUOL, Prof.Dr. Somchanh Bounphanmy – Vice president,  Assoc.Prof.Dr. Latsamy Boupha - Dean of Forestry faculty and director of departments at the National University of Laos.

At the meeting, the two partners have discussed and proposed cooperation programs in the coming time, focusing on cooperation programs in training and development of scientific research projects, especially integrating in the development and operation of the international tropical forestry program with the participation of Universities of Gottingen and TU-Dresden, Germany and the Royal Agricultural University of Cambodia; Receive Lao staffs and students to study at VNUF.

During the working time, the delegation attended a workshop at the Faculty of Forestry to jointly develop a new proposal for the International Master's Program in Tropical Forestry and a plan for a workshop at VNUF in March 2018.

On December 24, 2017, the delegation met with Alumi of VNUF . The meeting was attended by Mr. Su Sat Saynhakumman, Director general of Lao Forest Department (K34), Mr. Kham Phan Nanthavong Director general of Environmental Control Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (K26), Mr. Lin thong Luongpachau, Director general of Forest Protection Department (K28), Mr. Boun pon Sanhthong, Vice director general of Forest Department (K28) and other alumni who are working in Vientiane and NUOL.

The mission of the delegation was successful and has opened new opportunities in the relationship between two universities in the future.
