Collaboration between Forestry Association of Korea and Vietnam National University of Forestry

On January 19, 2018, a delegation of the Forestry Association of Korea visited the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF).

Vice-President Assoc.Prof. Bui The Doi  welcomed the President of Forestry Association of Korea, Dr. Shin Sang Choul, who was accompanied by the Vice President of the Association of Professional Forestry Engineers, Mr. Woo Jongho, Mr. Kang Sail from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Security, Korea as well as leaders and staff of the General Forestry Institute and the Management Information Institute, staff of International Cooperation Department. VNUF staff of the International Cooperation Department introduced briefly the university history, development process and achievements in training, scientific research and international cooperation. Together with members of the Institute of Forest Ecology and Environment, the College of Forestry Biotechnology, the Faculty of Forestry, and the College of Wood Technology both sides discussed future cooperation in training and mobility in the field of biotechnology, wood technology and especially in forestry. General Forestry Institutes in Korea are currently offering many short-term forestry training programs and are willing to accept trainees or students of the VNUF.

The two sides agreed to promote the exchange of lecturers and students and to strengtheni the collaboration among VNUF and the forestry agencies of the Forestry Association of Korea in near future.
