The NIA delegation was led by Dr. Chhun Tory – President of the Institute, accompanied by Dr. Kay Kaing Mean – Vice President, and other department leaders from the institute.

Representing VNUF were Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dien – President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui The Doi – Vice President, along with the leadership of the International Cooperation Division, the Academic Affairs Division, the Faculty of Forestry, the College of Land Management and Rural Development, and the Faculty of Forest Resources and Environmental Management.

During the working session, both sides presented an overview of their development histories, training strengths, ongoing international cooperation programs, and strategic orientations for the upcoming period. NIA expressed particular interest in VNUF's forestry training model. On the VNUF side, representatives shared experiences in curriculum innovation, integration of technology and practical production, while emphasizing the current solutions applied to improve training quality and expand international collaboration.

The two parties held in-depth discussions on potential cooperation in scientific research, development of international training programs, academic workshops, and faculty-student exchanges. In particular, both sides agreed to jointly develop and implement collaborative projects in forestry, natural resource management, and sustainable rural development. Notably, VNUF and NIA are currently core partners in the HARVEST project funded by the European Union.

On the same afternoon, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dien – President of VNUF, and Dr. Chhun Tory – President of NIA, signed the MoU, marking a new chapter in the partnership between the two institutions.
