Attending the meeting, the US Forest Service had Ms. Kelly Hodge - Director of the timber identification program; Mr. Huynh Van Thuong, national coordinator of the Forest Service, US Department of Agriculture. On the side of Vietnam National University of Forestry, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Van Khoa, Vice President; Director of International Cooperation Division; Institute of Landscape Architecture and Urban Greening; and lecturer of the Faculty of Forestry.

The purpose of the meeting was to promote a number of cooperative activities in the forestry sector in the coming period.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged and discussed in detail a number of professional issues in urban forestry and tree management, integrating practical issues into teaching and training. In addition, the two sides also promote the application of I-Tree software in forest and urban tree management.

At the end of the working session, Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam, director of International Cooperation Division thanked the delegation for coming to work and cooperate with VNUF, and also expressed his desire to receive support with project proposals and expand cooperation activities in the near future.
