On June 16, 2026, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) held an important working session with a delegation from the Shandong Business Institute, China. The meeting focused on discussing cooperation opportunities in education, Chinese language proficiency enhancement, faculty and student exchanges, and corporate partnerships.

Attending the meeting from the Shandong Business Institute was Prof. Dr. Wang Fa Ming, President of the Institute, along with heads of affiliated departments. Representing the Vietnam National University of Forestry were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Van Khoa, Vice President, alongside leaders from the International Cooperation Division, the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration, the Faculty of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, and the College of Wood Industry and Interior Design.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Van Khoa briefly introduced the development history of the Vietnam National University of Forestry - a leading education and research institution in Vietnam in the fields of forestry, natural resources, environment, wood technology, and other interdisciplinary sectors. The Vice President highly appreciated Shandong Business Institute's achievements in vocational training and corporate engagement, while expressing a strong desire to explore practical cooperation opportunities that bring optimal value to both sides.

Representing the visiting delegation, Prof. Dr. Wang Fa Ming stated that the Institute, established in 1975, currently trains over 18,000 students across 45 majors in fields such as commerce, logistics, tourism, hospitality, information technology, and services. With an educational approach closely aligned with practical market needs, the Institute has built an extensive cooperation network with numerous enterprises and organizations both within and outside China.

During the working session, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the possibility of implementing faculty and student exchange programs, short-term training courses, international experience semesters, as well as language training activities. In particular, the model of combining Chinese language training with corporate internships was highly evaluated as a potential direction, perfectly matching the needs of VNUF students against the backdrop of increasing Chinese corporate investment in Vietnam.

In addition, the Chinese partner shared their experience in teaching Chinese to international students and introduced their network of over 1,000 affiliated enterprises. This is considered a crucial resource, opening up attractive opportunities for internships, practical vocational training, and career connections for students upon graduation.

The meeting took place in an open and cooperative atmosphere, contributing to strengthening the relationship between the Vietnam National University of Forestry and international educational institutions, while opening up new horizons for students to access international learning, internship, and working environments in the context of globalization.
