Sangmyung University Visits Vietnam National University of Forestry, Showcasing Study Opportunities in South Korea

On April 10, 2026, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) welcomed a delegation from Sangmyung University (South Korea) as part of an exchange, working session, and introduction of study opportunities in South Korea for the university's students.

Attending the meeting on behalf of Sangmyung University was Professor Lee Jun-young, Dean Office of International Affairs and Public Relations, along with experts and officials in charge of international cooperation.

Representing VNUF were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Van Khoa – Vice President; Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam – Director of the International Cooperation Division; alongside representatives from functional units, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Center for Foreign Languages and Informatics, and a large number of students interested in international study abroad programs.

During the program, representatives from Sangmyung University provided an overview of their learning environment and strong training disciplines, which include design, economics, media, and business. Furthermore, joint training programs, study abroad pathways, admission requirements, scholarships, and post-graduation career opportunities were presented in detail, giving students a clearer and more realistic perspective of the academic journey in South Korea.

Notably, VNUF students had the opportunity to directly interact with Sangmyung University representatives regarding academic conditions, living costs, the living environment, and employment prospects after graduation. The practical and open insights shared by the partner helped answer many questions while motivating students to chart their development paths in an international environment.

The event also featured a vibrant atmosphere through exchange activities and minigames focused on South Korean culture and Sangmyung University, attracting enthusiastic participation from the students. This not only provided useful information but also contributed to strengthening the connection and mutual understanding between both sides.

The working session between the Vietnam National University of Forestry and Sangmyung University was a practical activity aimed at promoting international cooperation and expanding academic and career development opportunities for students in the context of global integration. This also serves as an important premise for both institutions to continue implementing deeper and broader cooperative programs in the near future.
