Vietnam National University of Forestry Attends the Vietnam – China Forum on Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation

Within the framework of the State visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation from April 14 to 17, 2026, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) was honored to attend the Vietnam - China Forum on Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation and actively participate in important foreign affairs activities in the fields of education, science, technology, and innovation.

The VNUF delegation participating in the working trip included: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Van Khoa - Vice President; and Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam – Director of the International Cooperation Division.

The Vietnam - China Forum on Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation was co-organized by the Chinese Ministry of Education and the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training at Tsinghua University, one of the world's leading training and research centers.

At the Forum, General Secretary and President To Lam delivered an important policy speech, emphasizing the key role of science and technology, innovation, and high-quality human resource training in elevating the cooperative relationship between the two countries.

Cooperation with Beijing Forestry University

The delegation actively engaged in academic exchange activities, connected with partners, and promoted international cooperation with Chinese educational and research institutions. The delegation signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with Beijing Forestry University (China) and Guangxi University, and held working sessions with the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences and Southwest Forestry University (China).

The delegation's activities reflect VNUF's strategic orientation in strengthening the connection between training, scientific research, and innovation, thereby contributing to the enhancement of the university's innovation capacity and international integration.

Participating in the forum during the high-ranking delegation's visit to China and proactively implementing cooperative activities with host partners further affirms VNUF's important role in the fields of Forestry, natural resource management, and the environment in Vietnam. Concurrently, it contributes to promoting educational, scientific, and technological cooperation between Vietnam and China in particular, and within the region in general, towards a profound, effective, and sustainable direction.
