Vietnam National University of Forestry Expands International Cooperation in Training and High-Quality Human Resource Development
3 tháng 4, 2026Implementing its strategy to develop high-quality human resources and promote deep international integration in training, scientific research, and technology transfer, a delegation from the Vietnam National University of Forestry conducted a study tour and working visit to Urban Vocational College of Sichuan, China, from March 24 to 27, at the invitation of the College's Director.
Participating in the working delegation were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Quoc An – Deputy Secretary in charge of the University Party Committee, Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam – Director of the International Cooperation Division, and Dr. Pham Van Tinh – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Civil Engineering.

During the working period in China, the delegation visited the college's facilities, laboratory systems, research institutes, and technology transfer centers for smart automobiles, UAVs and the low-altitude economy, big data, and smart classrooms, while surveying the training model linking the school and enterprises. Notably, the delegation worked with the college's leaders and member institutes to exchange views on cooperation in training and developing high-quality human resources, research and transfer, and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Vietnam National University of Forestry, Urban Vocational College of Sichuan, and Vietnam Training and Production Combined Technology Company Limited. The signing of the MOU has opened a new chapter in implementing the cooperation model among the University, enterprises, and internationally reputable training institution.
At the cooperation signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Quoc An introduced the University's strengths and strategic orientations in international cooperation linked with human resource development and training quality enhancement. The Vietnam National University of Forestry is ready to become a strategic partner to deploy international cooperation programs with Urban Vocational College of Sichuan in training, helping students confidently enter the international labor market.

During the in-depth discussion session, the delegates focused on potential key areas of cooperation, including high technology, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the low-altitude economy, logistics, automotive technology, automation, electromechanics, mechanical manufacturing, and digital transformation.
In addition, the two parties agreed to strengthen collaboration through student and faculty exchanges, credit transfer and recognition, joint research, and technology transfer initiatives. They also proposed the establishment of a China–Vietnam Vocational Education Center at the Vietnam National University of Forestry.
