VNUF Expands Cooperation with Sichuan Partners: A Breakthrough in School-Enterprise Training Models
31 tháng 3, 2026Within the framework of the strategy to internationalize education and enhance graduate quality, on March 19, 2026, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) held a working session with a high-level delegation from Urban Vocational College of Sichuan (China) and the Vietnam Training and Production Combined Technology Company Limited, led by Mr. Tran Van Lam, Chairman of the Board. The delegation also included representatives from several Chinese enterprises operating mechanical manufacturing plants in Bac Ninh Province.
Representing VNUF were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Quoc An – Deputy Secretary in charge of the University Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Van Khoa – Vice President; Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam – Director of the International Cooperation Division; Dr. Pham Van Tinh – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Civil Engineering; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Xuan Phuong – Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Division.

The working session opened up extensive opportunities for cooperation in training, technology transfer, and career path development for VNUF students.

Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam – Director of International Cooperation Division reporting on the contents and results implemented between the University and partners, and contents to be deployed in the coming time, especially the upcoming signing of a cooperation MOU between the University and partners in China.
At the meeting, the parties agreed to implement a closed-loop training model, where enterprises directly participate in the training process and commit to employment outputs. Students in STEM engineering fields such as Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanics, and Manufacturing Technology will have the opportunity to participate in a 4-6 months' internship program at major Chinese enterprises operating in Vietnam. The partners commit to supporting all accommodation and travel expenses, while also providing specialized Chinese language training and equipping skills to operate modern machinery systems (such as CNC, cutting machines...). After graduation, students have the opportunity to be recruited and promoted to grassroots management positions, with an attractive starting salary ranging from 25 to 50 million VND/month.

The University leadership representative affirmed that VNUF gathers all the advantages of field space (with more than 150 hectares at the main campus and branches) to become a key area for research, demonstration, and training of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

The official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) expected to take place in China will be an important milestone, marking the transformation of the Vietnam National University of Forestry in closely linking higher education with the practical needs of the global labor market.
