In two days  of February18-19, 2019. Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) had a meeting with Mr. Haji Hilmi Rahman - Communication director and Asso.Prof.Dr. Wan Mohd Nazri Abdul Rahman from Universiti Teknology Mara (UiTM), Malaysia.

Attended by Asso.Prof.Dr. Bui The Doi - Vice president; Leaders of International Cooperation Division, Faculty of Silviculture, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Wood Industry College, College of Land Management and Rural Development, Mr. Zuklin Tomas, International Specialist from the Czech Republic, who is currently working at the University.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged discussions on opportunities for cooperation and exchange of staff, lecturers and students in order to improve the capacity of training and scientific research of both sides, and seek opportunities for cooperation potentials in areas of mutual concern. The two sides exchanged opportunities to share training programs in the fields of wood technology and forest product processing, agricultural and forestry policies, biodiversity, tourism management and ecotourism ...

Representatives of UiTM  introduced an overview of the university and the specialized training and research fields, and hoped that in the future the two universities will have more specific and comprehensive cooperations.

At the end of the working session, the two sides agreed to continue discuss and in the future, two sides will build and sign a Memorandum of Understanding.

In the agenda of the program, Mr. Haji Hilmi Rahman and Asso.Prof.Dr. Wan Mohd Nazri Abdul Rahman had an academic seminar with lecturers and students of Wood Industry College and officials concerned about forest product processing technology, policies in agro-forestry and rural development. In the open atmosphere, lecturers and students of the University have exchanged issues related to the seminar's topic. The two experts spent time to answer many questions from lecturers and students and wished to have more opportunities to work and collaborate with university lecturers and students in the future.
