On the occasion of the International Day of Forests, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF), in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Vietnam, the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection, and the Forest Projects Management Board, organized a forum on the theme “Forests and Food Security” on March 21, 2025. The event brought together experts, policymakers, scientists, and representatives from national and international organizations.
On March 19, 2025, the “Vietnam-China Vocational Education Cooperation Workshop” took place at the National Convention Center, Hanoi. This significant international event aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in vocational education, focusing on training and supplying high-quality human resources to meet socio-economic development needs. This event was held in the context of over 20,000 Chinese enterprises operating in Vietnam, with China maintaining its position as Vietnam’s largest trading partner for more than 20 consecutive years, and bilateral trade turnover reaching USD 260 billion in 2024. The seminar was attended by more than 200 delegates, including representatives from educational agencies of both countries, training institutions, and Chinese enterprises operating in Vietnam. The event was approved by the Central Commission for External Relations of Vietnam and the Ministry of Education and Training and was hosted by the Vietnam Association of Vocational Education and Social Work.
On the morning of February 28, 2025, a delegation from Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) conducted a working session at Southwest Forestry University (SWFU) in Kunming, China.
At the invitation of the President of Southwest Forestry University, China a Vietnamese delegation led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui The Doi – Vice President of Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) – attended the International Conference on Biodiversity Conservation in the Transboundary Corridor of Laos, China, and Vietnam. The conference took place in Pu’er City, China, from February 24 to 27, 2025.
