On the morning of July 4, 2024, Vietnam National University of Forestry and Meiho University, Taiwan (China) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in education, research, and other activities, aiming towards the internationalization of education.
Attending the signing ceremony from the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) were: Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dien – President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui The Doi – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Xuan Phuong – Vice Director of International Cooperation Division, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Hien Mai – Vice Director of Academic Affairs Division, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha – Vice Dean of Faculty of Economics & Business Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Quang Nam – Vice Dean of the College of Forestry Biotechnology.
From Meiho University, were Prof. Dr. Lin Xiao Zeng – Dean of IT Faculty and Head of International Cooperation Office, Ms. Dinh Thi Yen – Director of Thu Yen International Trading Co., Ltd., Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen – Deputy Director of Thu Yen Company, Mr. Hoang Van Phong – Deputy Director of Thu Yen Company.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dien – President of VNUF, welcomed the delegation from Meiho University and expressed his hopes for positive outcomes from the future cooperation between the two universities. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation in enhancing the quality of education and research, as well as contributing to sustainable development for both universities.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lin Hsiao-Tseng – Dean of Department of Information Technology and International and Cross-Strait Affairs at Meiho University, gave an overview of the university and the collaborative programs and research that have been implemented. He expressed confidence in the potential for cooperation between the two universities, particularly in the fields of biotechnology, tourism and hospitality management, social work, and veterinary. During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui The Doi and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Xuan Phuong reviewed some of the main cooperation outcomes with international universities and research institutes in general and proposed several areas of cooperation between the two universities in the future.
The leaders of both sides recognized the significant potential for future cooperation between the two universities, focusing on student exchange programs, internships, joint training programs (such as 3+1 and 2+2 programs), faculty and staff exchanges, joint educational projects, and co-hosting international workshops and conferences.
The signing ceremony was a great success, opening up many prospects for collaborative development between VNUF and Meiho University. Both universities committed to making joint efforts to promote cooperation programs, contributing to enhancing the quality of education and scientific research of both universities in the coming time.
