On March 3nd, 2020, Mr. Mauri Raveala – President of the Finland - Vietnam Friendship Association and members of the delegation visited and participated in the meeting at Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF).

Attending the meeting were Prof. Dr. Tran Van Chu – President of the Vietnam- Finland Friendship Association, Mr. Bui Van Khoa – Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Vietnam in Finland, Vice President of the Vietnam- Finland Friendship Association, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Bao - Vice President; Leaders of International Cooperation Division, and officials and lecturers of Vietnam National University of Forestry.

Prof. Dr.  Tran Van Chu -VNUF's President sent his warm greetings to Mr. Mauri Raveala and the delegation visited the University. He introduced an overview of the Vietnam - Finland Friendship Association and the Vietnam National University of Forestry. He hoped that the two sides would have long-term and strong cooperation between Vietnam and Finland; and collaboration between the Vietnam National University of Forestry with organizations and universities in Finland. In recent years, VNUF has had many cooperation programs, bringing staffs to study in Finland in the fields of Forestry, Wood processing and Mechanization of Forestry. At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Chu proposed some activities in the coming time, the delegation of the Vietnam- Finland Friendship Association will visit and work with the Finnish - Vietnam Friendship Association (FVFA), and the FVFA's Association individuals will be presented with friendship medals of President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. The medal aims to honor the Association's remarkable contributions to promoting the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries' people.

Thank you for the warm welcome from VNUF, Mr. Mauri Raveala appreciated the long-term cooperation with the Vietnam National University of Forestry, the Vietnam-Finland Friendship Association over the years and acknowledged the VNUF's proposals for further collaboration in the future, especially in the field of education, forestry and the environment.

At the end of the meeting, leaders of the two sides agreed that the Finland - Vietnam Friendship Association and the Vietnam - Finland Friendship Association would continue to sustainable and better in the future.
