In the afternoon of March 19, 2019, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) had a meeting and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Valliadolid University, Spain.
Attending the meeting was Prof.Dr. Tran Van Chu - President of VNUF, Asso.Prof.Dr. Bui The Doi - Vice President, Leaders of International Cooperation Division, Graduate Affairs Division, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Foresr Resources and Environmental Management.
Attended by the Valliadolid University, Spain was Prof.Dr. Daniel Miguel San José - President, Prof.Dr. Paloma Castro Prieto - Vice President and other professors.
At the meeting, Asso.Prof.Dr. Hoang Van Sam - Director of International Cooperation Division and Prof.Dr. Felipe Bravo - Director of the Institute for Sustainable Forest Management reported cooperation results between two universites, and proposed areas that can be cooperated in the future. Currently, VNUF and Valladolid University are official members of Erasmus project, funded by EU, to build a sustainable and economical forest management education network; VNUF is a member of the Forestry Erasmus plus master program chaired by the Valladolid University.
The two sides discussed the cooperation programs in the coming time such as building exchange programs for lecturers and students; implementing projects together; building a joining master program. Valladolid University will accept staff and students from VNUF to study masteral and doctoral degrees; cooperate in publishing international articles.

After the meeting, Prof.Dr. Tran Van Chu - President and Prof.Dr. Daniel Miguel San José -President of Valliadolid University, Spain signed a Memorandum of Understanding to open new opportunities for teachers and students of two Universities. According to the plan in February 2019, Prof.Dr. Tran Van Chu - President of VNUF will visit and work with Valladolid University.
Delegates expressed their confidence that the cooperative relationship between two universities will develop and achieve specific results in the future.
In the working program, the delegation of Valladolid University visited experimental forests and some facilities of VNUF.
