On September 4, 2025, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) welcomed four professors and seven graduate students from Southwest Forestry University, China, for a three-month exchange program. During their stay, the participants will engage in intensive study and research in silviculture, resource management, plant protection, wildlife management, and plant diversity conservation. This program marks an important milestone in educational cooperation between the two universities and creates a dynamic academic environment where international students can directly experience Vietnam’s natural conditions, forest ecosystems, and rich practices in resource management.
On September 4, 2025, Vietnam National University of Forestry hosted an academic seminar on "Strategic Thinking," presented by Prof. Dr. Keijo Varis from the Turku University of Applied Sciences, Finland, who is also a Member of the Finland-Vietnam Friendship and Cooperation Association.
On September 15, 2025, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) solemnly held the opening ceremony of a specialized training course for 24 agricultural technical officers from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. This program aims to concretize the Cooperation Agreement between the Governments of Vietnam and Laos in 2025. The course takes place from September 13 to November 8, 2025, in Hanoi.
On September 10, 2025, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) hosted a meeting and cooperation exchange with the leadership of Southwest Forestry University (SWFU), China.
On July 5, 2025, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) held a university-level doctoral dissertation defense for PhD candidate Khamphet Phomphoumy in the field of Forest Inventory and Planning, code: 9620208. His dissertation, titled “Study on Structure and Tree Species Diversity of Tropical Forest in Phou Khao Khouay National Park, Lao People's Democratic Republic”, was conducted under the scientific supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Hai and Dr. Cao Thi Thu Hien.
On July 3, 2025, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF), in collaboration with the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO), organized the international workshop “Establishment of ASEAN–Korea Garden in Vietnam.” This important event is part of a project funded by AFoCO, aimed at developing a symbolic green space for education, research, and cultural exchange between Vietnam, Korea, and ASEAN countries.
