On July 5, 2025, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) held a university-level doctoral dissertation defense for PhD candidate Khamphet Phomphoumy in the field of Forest Inventory and Planning, code: 9620208. His dissertation, titled “Study on Structure and Tree Species Diversity of Tropical Forest in Phou Khao Khouay National Park, Lao People's Democratic Republic”, was conducted under the scientific supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Hai and Dr. Cao Thi Thu Hien.
On July 3, 2025, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF), in collaboration with the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO), organized the international workshop “Establishment of ASEAN–Korea Garden in Vietnam.” This important event is part of a project funded by AFoCO, aimed at developing a symbolic green space for education, research, and cultural exchange between Vietnam, Korea, and ASEAN countries.

On July 1, 2025, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Prek Leap National Institute of Agriculture (NIA) of Cambodia. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation in training, scientific research, and human resource development in the fields of agriculture and forestry.
At the invitation of the President of the University of Sopron, Hungary, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dien – President of VNUF, paid a visit to Hungary from June 24 to June 28, 2025. Accompanying him was Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam – Director of the International Cooperation Division.
On the afternoon of June 23, 2025, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) held a working session with Professor Maria Cecilia Mancini – Vice Rector for International Relations and Mobility at the University of Parma (Università di Parma – UNIPR), Italy. As one of the oldest and most prestigious public universities in Italy, UNIPR has long-standing academic excellence. This visit marks a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutions in December 2024.
