Many scholarship opportunities for lecturers and students from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
13 tháng 6, 2024On May 20, 2024, Vietnam National University of Forestry welcomed and worked with the director of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Vietnam.
Attending the meeting, on the side of VNUF were: Prof.Dr. Pham Van Dien – President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Minh Toai – Vice President; Prof.Dr. Hoang Van Sam - Director of the International Cooperation Division and a number of staff who studied in Germany in the past. On the side of DAAD organization were: Dr. Felix Wagenfeld, Director of DAAD-Regional Office in Hanoi and Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung, Scholarship Section, DAAD.
Prof. Pham Van Dien congratulated Dr. Felix Wagenfeld on being appointed as director of DAAD in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, and thanked DAAD for always supporting VNUF in training staff and students of the University, and expressed his wish to continue to receive support and cooperation from DAAD in the future.
At the working session, Prof.Dr. Hoang Van Sam, Director of the International Cooperation Division, reviewed the results of cooperation between the University and German partners in general and DAAD in particular in the fields of training, scientific research and capacity building, especially the MSc program in Tropical Forestry sponsored by DAAD.
Dr. Felix Wagenfeld, director of DAAD-Regional Office in Hanoi, introduced DAAD, its development strategy, sponsorship and scholarship programs for students, lecturers and DAAD alumni.
On the same afternoon, with the attendance of lecturers and students of the advanced program, Dr. Felix Wagenfeld introduced the German education system, study and research opportunities in Germany. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung presented types of scholarships for PhDs and masters, short-term exchange programs along with application conditions, application process, etc.
The two sides discussed and proposed specific cooperation plans in the coming time, to further strengthen the cooperation between VNUF and DAAD. The meeting took place successfully, opening up many new cooperation prospects in the future and many scholarship opportunities for lecturers and students of the University.
