Vietnam National University of Forestry Collaborates with Japanese Enterprises to Implement Internship Program in Japan for Automotive Engineering Students

Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Toai, Vice President; leaders of various departments, faculty members, and students from the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. On the partners' side, the attendees included Mr. Fukuharu Tsutomu, Chairman of Sennensha Company (Japan) and Director of Sennensha Vietnam company; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Chairwoman of Tien Bo Infinity Vietnam company; and representatives from specialized departments.
Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dien, President of VNUF, welcomed the delegation on their visit at the start of 2025 and reaffirmed the university's commitment to collaborating with enterprises to send students for study, internships, and work abroad. This strategic initiative aims to provide students with access to international academic and professional environments.

Mr. Fukuharu Tsutomu, Chairman of Sennensha Company (Japan), highly appreciated VNUF's achievements and role in human resource development in Vietnam. He expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with the university to enhance the quality of education and facilitate student internships in Japan, with an initial focus on the Automotive Engineering program. As an immediate contribution, Sennensha Company and Mr. Fukuharu Tsutomu are sponsoring JPY 3,000,000 (approximately VND 480,000,000) to support VNUF in equipping laboratories and purchasing training materials for students in the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Additionally, he pledged to promote the university in Japan and act as a bridge for securing further sponsorships from other Japanese enterprises in the future.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai expressed her delight in supporting the program and affirmed her commitment to serving as a bridge between VNUF and Sennensha Company to foster effective and sustainable cooperation.

During the meeting, representatives from all parties discussed detailed cooperation plans, particularly regarding the internship program for Automotive Engineering students in Japan. Dr. Pham Van Tinh, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, emphasized the program's significance in equipping students with specialized skills, exposure to advanced technology, and adaptation to international working environments.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam, Director of the International Cooperation Division, presented the key contents of the MoU. After reaching a consensus on cooperation details, the representatives officially signed the MoU, reinforcing the commitment to strengthening ties between the university and enterprises. At the signing event, Mr. Fukuharu Tsutomu also presented the sponsorship, further supporting the university's infrastructure and student development in learning and research.
Additionally, on February 7, Sennensha Company (Japan) and Tien Bo Infinity Vietnam organized a workshop introducing internship opportunities, working environments, and career prospects in Japan.
